Our Beliefs

  • There is one God, creator of heaven and earth and everything in it, eternally existent in three co-equal persons, The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Gen. 1 and 2, Gen. 1:26, John 14:16-26, John 16:13-15)
  • The Lord God has revealed Himself through His inspired Word, 66 canonical books making up the Bible.  The Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God and is the final authority for life and doctrine. (Psalm 119:89, Jer. 23:28-29, Mark 13:31 Tim. 3:16-17)
  • The Lord Jesus Christ, God the Son, is fully God and fully man. He set aside the glory of heaven, became flesh and lived on earth. He was born of a virgin, performed miracles, and lived a perfect, sinless life.  (John 1:14, Phil. 2:5-8, Matt. 1:18-25, Acts 2:22, Heb. 4:15)
  • The Lord Jesus died on the cross as an atoning sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins, was buried, then bodily
rose from the dead on the third day. Later He ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of God, is the Head of His Body, the church and continually intercedes for believers. He will come again and His return is personal, visible and imminent. (1 Cor. 15:3-4, 2 Cor. 5:20, 1 John 4:10, Acts 1:9, Eph. 1:20, Heb. 10:12, Eph. 1:22-23, Col. 1:18, Rom. 8:34, Heb. 7:25, Matt. 24:30, Acts 1:10-11)

  • Men and women were created by God and in His image. The first humans Adam and Eve disobeyed God and sinned. As a result, all of their descendants (all humans) are born with a sinful nature, spiritually dead until born again by God through faith in the Lord Jesus.   (Gen. 1: 26-27, Gen. 3:1-6, Psalm 51:5, Rom 5:12,  Eph. 2:5,  John 3:3, John 3:16)
  • The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, and converts those who believe, making them new creations in Christ.  The Holy Spirit seals and indwells all believers, keeping believers eternally secure, and empowers believers to live victoriously in Christ, serve Christ’s Body the Church, and witness to others about Jesus.  (John 16:8-9, 1 Cor. 2:4-5, 1 Thess. 1:5, 2 Thess. 2:13, 2 Cor. 5:17, 2 Cor. 1:22-23, Eph. 1:13-14, Rom. 8:11-13, Gal. 5:22-25, Acts 1:8)
  • A person becomes a Christian when they are born again, by acknowledging that they’re a sinner who cannot save themselves, repents of their sin, and believes that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died as the only atoning sacrifice for their sin, and rose from the dead. Any person who has received Jesus Christ into their life as their Lord and Savior has been reconciled to God, and has eternal life.  Good works are the result, not a condition of salvation. (Rom. 3:10-11, Rom. 5:6, Luke 24:46-47, Acts 17:30, Acts 20:21, Col. 1:13-14, 1 Peter 2:24, 1 Peter 3:18, 2 Cor. 5:18-19, 1 Cor.15:1-19, 1 Thess. 4:14, John 1:12, Rom. 5:1, Eph. 2:8-10)
  • The church is composed of all who have personally repented and trusted in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  God has chosen the local church as a place where Christians fellowship, grow into spiritual maturity, become equipped for service, and help fulfill the Great Commission.  (Eph. 4:4-6, Acts 2: 41-42, Heb. 10:24-25, Eph. 4:11-16, Matt. 28:18-20)
  • There will be a bodily resurrection of all people. believers will be raised to the resurrection of life, unbelievers to eternal damnation in hell.  (1 Cor. 3:10-15, 2 Thess 1:9 1:9, Rev. 20:11-15)
  • Satan is a real and fallen being who is God’s chief adversary, opposing not only God, but His plan, His will, and His people.  Satan’s power is limited and under the restraint and control of God. (Gen. 3:1-5, Isa. 14:12-14, 2 Cor. 4:4, Rev. 12:10, Job 1, Luke 22:31)
