Devotional Reading Plans

In 2023, Taking the Field and P. J. Meduri became content partners with YouVersion. Thus far, four devotional reading plans have been written. These plans can be accessed through the provided links and by downloading the Bible App to a device. The plan, "The Promise of Heaven," is adapted from PJ's book "The Promise," published in 2021. The plan is based on the biblical account often called "The Thief on the Cross" (Luke 23:39-43). It is also available in French, Italian, and Spanish.

AmAZED

In John 5, after Jesus heals a man at the pool of Bethesda, he declares that greater works will occur, causing people to be amazed. This 30-day reading plan explores Christ's claims regarding these greater works. Works he continues today through his followers.

The Prayer request of Christ

Based on Matthew 9:37-38, this reading plan looks at Jesus' statement, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." Therefore, by praying for Christ to send workers into the harvest, a great impact can be made, as Christ-followers pray this prayer that emerged from Christ's compassion (Matthew 9:36).

The Evangelism Arena

Who's involved in "The Evangelism Arena"? An overarching answer is found in 2nd Corinthians 4:1-7. An examination of these verses not only reveals who's involved but also the role each plays in evangelism. Through these insights, may Christ-followers deepen their understanding of evangelism and, by God's grace, be encouraged to endure as witnesses for Jesus.

The Lord commissioned his followers to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). A commission and ministry where prayer is essential. While praying for the lost is crucial, the Bible also addresses prayers for believers. Therefore, this devotional aims to provide a biblical basis for believers to pray, specifically, consistently, and effectively for themselves and others to advance the gospel worldwide.
